How great is your life? How do you value the things you have? The quality of your life is from a choice you make and act on daily. Your thoughts produce the way you feel and respond to your life. You may never have everything you want and think you need but actuality no one has everything. So what separates the successful and valuable people from the unsuccessful and shunned people? I’m glad you asked. It is their ATTITUDE. 3 Attitudes To Show Your Gratitude 1. Excited Attitude – It is impressive, when business workers are excited about their customers. A warm feeling and sense of belonging comes when we are sincerely greeted with "welcome to …", and "let us know if we can help you with anything". When excitement is expressed about our purpose and reason for being, our lives will reflect it every day. It will seem to just pour out because we are saturated with expectations which breed an excited attitude. To Do: An excited attitude calls for a mental decision to find a way to appreciate the good, the bad, and the ugly. Your attitude should not be based on the instant outcomes, but should be set on what is desired or expected despite the short term results. Go after each opportunity with purpose and drive. Each day is a chance to be better than who you were yesterday. Don't drag your feet. Don’t tell yourself, “This is boring”. If you have to be somewhere, find a way to engage in something. Attach your mind to finding excitement in everything you do. An excited attitude fights the attitude of boredom which helps you succeed in your life journey. 2. Efficient Attitude - We feel good when we don’t have to pay the full price for something we want. To have an efficient attitude is being able to think about doing tasks with the least amount of time, effort and resources. Some tasks will take more time, effort and resources than others but the attitude of efficiency will not try to get more than what it takes. It looks for ways to keep expenses low at all cost. To Do: You can have an efficient attitude at the start of everything you face by having a plan. Planning helps you have foresight and vision for tasks ahead. Ask yourself, “how can I get this done with the least amount of waste." An efficient attitude shows that you are resourceful in your life journey. 3. Effective Attitude “Effective people are not problem-minded; they are opportunity-minded. They feed opportunities and stare problems.” Stephen Covey. A person with an effective attitude is able to produce the needed results despite obstacles. An ineffective person finds the problem and feels that their job is done. To Do: You can strive each day to be a problem solver by setting your mind to produce positive results at every junction of life. Life is full of problems and obstacles but your attitude about life does not have to be a problem. Choose today to be effective with what you have, not with what you don’t. Show your gratitude today by being excited about what you do, being efficient in the way you do, and being effective in how you do.
